How Mochipy works
For customers
- Find a baker near you. Shops show their town, never a home address. A “Permit verified” badge means Mochipy checked the baker's permit against the issuer's information.
- Read the ingredients and allergens. Every item lists what it contains and what it may contain. You confirm you've read them before paying.
- Pick a pickup time and pay. Your card is authorized at checkout and charged only when the baker accepts. If they decline or don't respond in time, the hold is released.
- Pick up. Once accepted, the pickup address and a 6-digit code appear in your order. Show the code at pickup.
- Review and report. Only customers who picked up an order can review it. Report unsafe food or undisclosed allergens right away from the order.
For bakers
Set up your shop, check what your town and state require in the Licensing Center, apply directly with the agency, upload your issued permit for verification, connect payouts with Stripe, and open for orders. Start selling.
What Mochipy doesn't do
- No delivery — every order is picked up from the baker.
- Mochipy doesn't issue permits or submit applications to agencies on your behalf.
- Mochi's friendly tips aren't legal or food-safety advice.
